Special Advisor on Regulatory Policy - Central Bank of Ireland
Martin Moloney is the Special Advisor on Regulatory Policy at the Central Bank of Ireland. He advises the Central Bank on the development of Central Bank policy across all its regulatory activity, with a particular focus on Capital Markets. He was previously the Head of Markets Policy at the Central Bank of Ireland. Before moving into securities and markets regulation, he held a number of other senior posts in the Central Bank of Ireland and in the Irish Department of Finance. He began his career in banking.
Mr Moloney is a member of the Board of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). He is Chair of the Investment Management Standing Committee of ESMA. He was also Chair of the European Systemic Risk Board (ESRB) Expert Group on Investment Funds (Liquidity and Leverage) which recently completed a program of work on systemic risk issues relating to the funds sector.
