Policy Leader - EU and International - Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association (PLSA) UK

James Walsh is Policy Lead: EU and International at the Pensions and Lifetime Savings Association. He leads the Association’s policy work on EU issues, including the Capital Markets Union, preparation for the new EU workplace pensions Directive and the UK’s exit from the European Union. Prior to taking up his current role in 2009, Mr Walsh was Public Policy Manager for ASDA Stores Ltd and Head of Public Affairs at the Institute of Directors. Earlier in his career he held a series of positions in the Conservative Research Department, serving as Head of Economic Section and then as Deputy Director. He has worked with political leaders in Namibia, Sri Lanka and Belarus.
