Managing Director Head of Managed Investments EMEA

Gavin Rankin re-joined Citi Private Bank as Head of Advisory Services, EMEA in 2011, with responsibility for setting up the Investment Advisory offering in Europe and the Middle East, taking full responsibility for Managed Investments in 2012. In his current role he is responsible for the delivery of traditional investments, discretionary and advisory portfolios, private equity, real estate and hedge funds in EMEA.

Mr Rankin moved into wealth management in 2004, joining the Citigroup Private Bank as European Product Manager and then in 2005, becoming co-Head, Investments, Europe. A year later, he moved to UBS Wealth Management in London, where he spent 4 years in a variety of senior product and investment roles.

Gavin Rankin has 18 years’ worth of finance experience, starting his career with Goldman Sachs in London, where he worked in what later became the prime brokerage group. After 2 years he moved to New York where he continued in the group in a product development role.

Mr Rankin holds the CFA charter and a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Politics from the University of Bristol.
