Chairman, FE fundinfo

David Blumer joined FE fundinfo as Chairman in February 2020, where he oversees the strategic direction of the company, along with the other members of the Executive Committee.

An industry expert, he began his career at Credit Suisse after completing a degree in Economics at the University of Zurich. During his time at Credit Suisse, he undertook a variety of senior roles in their trading, sales and asset management divisions.

His last role at Credit Suisse was as CEO in their Asset Management division, where he moved to Swiss RE as their Chief Investment Officer in 2008. In addition to being the CIO, he became Chairman of Admin Re in 2010 and then subsequently moved to BlackRock in 2013. He was Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa for BlackRock, a member of the company’s Global Executive Committee and, more recently, Global Head of Blackrock Alternative Investors. He is the Chairman of BlackRock’s business in Switzerland and continues to serve in this role.

As Chairman, Mr Blumer is leading on the next phase of FE fundinfo’s growth, following the company’s creation in 2018, following a merger of FE, fundinfo and F2C.
