Head of Risk Management Luxembourg, Aberdeen Asset Management

Alastair is a conducting officer of Aberdeen Asset Management’s UCITS management company and director of its AIFM Management Company in Luxembourg, as well as responsible for the Compliance and Risk Management functions locally. Alastair joined Aberdeen in 2009 from Deloitte Luxembourg, where he was a director in the Investment Management advisory practice.

Previously, Alastair worked for J.P. Morgan Asset Management for over seven years, both in London and Luxembourg. Alastair is also joint chairperson of the ALFI MiFID working group and a member of several other ALFI working groups, including the corporate governance and PRIIPS working groups.

Alastair graduated with a joint honours bachelor degree in history and French language from the University of Manchester.
